Life Recovery

12-Step

FOR MEN & WOMEN

This group is for those whose life has been affected by substance abuse, violence, or other obsessive behavior.  Through the use of Biblical principles, the purpose of this group is to allow God to restore your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health.  This recovery support group will map out a journey of wholeness and proper dependence on God while creating a community of fellowship and love.

Emotionally Healthy Spirituality

 FOR MEN & WOMEN

This is an 8-week course written by Peter and Geri Scazzero on building emotional health and a loving spiritual relationship with God.  You will learn to be reflective and self-aware emotionally and cultivate a relationship with God, much like Mary in the message from Luke 10:38-42, being with Jesus and not only doing things for Jesus.  You will find out how your past is affecting your present.  You will develop a daily rhythm of prayer and Sabbath.

The

Highest Power

FOR MEN ONLY

A group of guys traveling through life and dealing with worldly desires together rather than by ourselves.  In an informal setting, we consider and encourage one another by listening to the Word of God through instruction, warnings, and correction with guidance from the Holy Spirit.  No matter where you are, there is a place for you here.

Biblical Counseling

BY APPOINTMENT

(In-person or Zoom)

As Christians, the Bible is our authority, and guides us to understand who God is and who we are. Biblical Counseling uses the Bible as the source of wisdom to address personal struggles, marriage challenges, and family issues to provide hope, understanding, and healing. True change comes from within and is accomplished by the Holy Spirit to equip believers to live life with hope in a fallen world filled with disappointments and temptations.

The Counseling Ministry is provided without charge.  For an appointment, contact Maria Sonntag at 609-465-6690, ext 120, or email mds.sonntag@gmail.com.

Maria Sonntag, Director of Counseling, earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling (MA-C) from Westminster Theological Seminary. In addition to Biblical Counseling, where she engages with “fellow strugglers” for hope and healing in Jesus, she also has a passion for discipling to facilitate growth in spiritual maturity among the body of believers.
